"This is True"... A Walt Disney World Wedding

Pop singer Ryan Cabrera performed in front of the Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, FL today during the Valentine’s Day wedding of Julie Parsons and John Kinney of Hillsboro, Oregon. The couple was selected in a search conducted by ‘Brides’ magazine for a fantasy wedding to take place during theme park hours at the Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida during Disney’s “Year of a Million Dreams” celebration.

Cabrera Rocks Out for Lupus

Ryan Cabrera played an unplugged acoustic set in front of a sold-out crowd of 1,000 people last night in the Student Center Ballroom. The concert, “Rock Out Lupus,” was an annual benefit to raise lupus awareness.

“I love doing these kinds of shows,” Cabrera told the audience. “I get to play a lot of songs I normally don’t get to play.”

Cabrera played radio songs such as “Shine On” and “Exit to Exit,” as well as live-only songs such as a Paul Simon cover.

During the middle of one song, he also joked about the acoustic setting.

“This is usually the part where the band does something extravagant,” Cabrera said. “But there is no band, so it’s nothing.”

Ryan NO LONGER to Tour Australia

Ryan recently posted on his message boards announcing that he will no longer be doing the aforementioned Australian tour with The Veronicas (message below).

Ryan to Tour Australia

Brisbane’s own rock twins The Veronicas yesterday announced their second Australian tour.

The Revolution Tour will see the band visit 14 Australian cities to promote their award-winning album, The Secret Life Of...

Their prestigious Warner Brothers label recently toured twins Lisa and Jess Origliasso through America on a promotional circuit.

The label is returning them back to Australia to capitalise on the band’s success.

A spokesman for The Veronicas said The Revolution Tour will team the girls up with local rock act Avalon Drive and solo American songwriter Ryan Cabrera.

Grand Strand

Swirl Films is shooting the pilot for “Grand Strand” this week with the help of some big names. The show is centered on a band called Falling Fast who’s hoping to make it big along the Carolina coast. Director Anghus Houvouras said,"It’s about a band who’s about the be signed and they’re about to make it big." Houvouras wrote the pilot and he’s also directing it...

...The producers are hoping to get 15-20-somethings into the show. To do that they’re bringing in popular names like Ryan Cabrera.

“It’s so real. It’s like the way I did it. I really did this. I did play in bars and all the temptations that they are going through,” Cabrera said.

Acoustic Set in Torrance, CA

Ryan will be playing a private acoustic set at South Bay BMW in Torrance, CA on June 22nd. One possible way of getting in to the show is through 102.7 KIIS FM’s incentive program, KIIS Club VIP, as they are offering pairs of tickets in the prize vault for 20,000 points.
